PokerStars has released a new game known as Zoom Poker that is available for its web client, as well as on Android platforms.
While the Android version of Zoom Poker is not available from Google Play, it can be downloaded to your Android device through their website and has been customized for play on Android tablets with improved graphics, scrollable lobby menus, an auto-re-buy function, enhanced search abilities and more.
Players are able to enjoy Texas hold’em and Omaha games with ring games, tournaments and sit and go tournaments for multiple different skill levels. Stakes start at $0.1/$0.2 and go up to $2.05/$5. It includes features such as customized tutorials, chat and quick seating functions. Multi-tabling is available with up to four tables in a single player pool and up to eight tables over multiple pools.
A statement by PokerStars read, “Players of PokerStars.com, PokerStars.eu and PokerStars.net can now enjoy Zoom on Android devices. In addition to adding Zoom, the PokerStars mobile app on Android now features improved graphics for Android tablets, improved Play Now button, scrollable lobby menus to ease navigation, improved search, a new auto-re-buy function, and various other improvements.”
Daniel Negreanu, member of Team PokerStars Pro added, “Zoom Poker offers people a different way to play poker. Recreational players, who want more constant action, will be able to fold instantly and wait for better hands, while pro grinders, will be able to get hundreds of more hands an hour and win more.”
According to Jeffrey Haas, Director of New Platforms for PokerStars, the poker site has plans to expand their offering for mobile users. “We do have plans for launching Zoom for Mobile on iOS devices, and expect to start releasing it this summer. Zoom for Mobile will be available in all markets where Zoom for Desktop is available,” Haas said.
