Kambi Sports Solutions, the B2B provider of sports betting services for Unibet Group has signed a deal to deliver services to the Spanish casino operator, Grupo Acrismatic.
Kambi will develop online, retail and mobile sports betting services for Acrismatic in the two-year deal signed by the companies. It will provide a technical platform together with complete odds compilation, customer profiling and risk management.
The new sports betting service is expected to be launched by late August before the start of the domestic soccer season, the Spanish League, which kicks off towards the end of August.
“It is excellent news for us that, in competition with other suppliers, we have been selected as a supplier to one of Spain’s leading casino groups,” commented Kristian Nylen, Chief Executive Officer at Kambi in London.
The online gambling industry in Spain has recently been regulated, following discussions that had been ongoing since 2007. This deal between Kambi and Acrismatic will see Acrismatic ready to make the most of the changes in the laws.
“By using Kambi’s sportsbook solution, Acrismatic will be perfectly positioned to compete profitably and successfully in the re-regulated Spanish sports betting market,” said Nylen.
Kambi is the business-to-business sports betting subsidiary of Unibet and offers sports betting products on an in-house software platform. Kambi is based in London, Stockholm, Malta and Manila. Unibet is an online gambling company that was launched in 1997 and it has grown to be among the largest privately-owned gaming operators in Europe with customers in more than 100 countries and services provided in 27 languages.
Grupo Acrismatic has been involved in the gaming industry for 36 years and is now the fifth largest casino group in Spain. It is a leader in the industry, particularly in Comunidad, Valenciana, with two casinos and 2,600 points of sale.
