GTECH Launches Beijing Welfare Lottery App

GTECH Corporation, the gaming technology and services company has launched a mobile lottery app for the Beijing Welfare Lottery. The Android-enabled app will be available for Samsung mobile handsets.

The mobile application is part of a pilot project and will allow users to access draw-based and instant win games from the Beijing Welfare Lottery. Cubeia Launches Firebase 1.8 Platform for Mobile

Cubeia, the Stockholm-based software development company, has launched the Firebase 1.8 server platform. The platform includes HTML5 support that makes it available for mobile and tablet applications as well as web clients.

Betfair Doubles Mobile Revenue

Betfair Group, the world’s largest online betting exchange, has released financial results indicating that mobile revenues have doubled year-on-year and that core revenues increased 11 percent to £85.3 million. Betfair has said they are confident of meeting their full year expectations.

Non-risk revenues rose by 13 percent, while mobile casino revenues rose by 100 percent to £5.8 million with an increase in volume of mobile bets of 127 percent. Continue reading

NextGen Releases New Mobile Slots Game for iPhone

NextGen Gaming has released a new mobile slots game that will be available on Microgaming’s Quickfire platform and is also now accessible on Apple’s iPhone through the App Store. The National Lottery in the UK has recently gone mobile, according to operator, The Camelot Group. Their website, can now be accessed via mobile devices for the purposes of buying tickets, managing player accounts and checking lottery results.
